Get “Race Ready”!
This expert class caters towards riders who would like to get “race ready” for events such as Hare and Hound, Desert Scrambles, Dirt Bike Grand Prix, Enduro Rally and other long-distance off-road races like the Baja 1000 or even the Dakar Rally. The tuition is done on the go. It will consist of a large amount of off-road riding through terrain that is very similar to what you will encounter at race events. The objective is to increase your confidence for some of the toughest riding situations in the world.
Going fast in any off-road situation requires multiple techniques from the rider. One essential part of the training is the mental aspect. We will teach you “fast eye” control to anticipate and evaluate the terrain. Learn to budget your energy while working on your speed. Several drills will be repeated to establish intuitive reaction time. We will focus on advanced riding positions while tackling and crossing difficult obstacles. You will improve the essentials for managing sand and dune-like situations with confidence, repeat a variety of corner situations, as well as climbing and descending steep hills. Get an idea of a racer’s diet while talking about nutrition - food and fluids.
During the one day training you will ride up to 100 miles of rough off-road terrain similar to what you will find at the races. We cater to the individual needs of the participants. In addition to regular scheduled classes you can book a private class for one-on-one training. We are in close proximity to Johnson Valley with a small set of dunes and many tracks used during SCORE races.
Our “Race Ready” class is led by experienced coaches. They will help you achieve the results that you are aiming for.
