After breakfast, it was time to hit the road again. On our way to Death Valley National Park we crossed over Jubilee Pass mostly on paved roads. After entering the park, the riders took a dirt road along the lowest and driest area in North America, being about 280 feet (85 m) below sea level. We stopped for a juicy burger at the “19th Hole” and watched the golfers play the Furnace Creek Golf Course. After lunch, it was time to head north. Dirt roads through the desert allowed us to see some of the areas mining history around Chloride Cliff. After crossing the State Line into Nevada we explored the unique Rhyolite Ghost Town. The day ended in Beatty, with dinner at the Happy Burro Saloon famous for its Chili. We all had to explore the men’s restroom with its unique appliance! (You will have to go on tour to find out what it is!) A quick visit to the casino in an aim to strike it rich ended the day!
